Giant Squid Invade Orange County Waters
Fishermen and women in Orange County have seen an influx of giant squids in the waters off Newport Beach, California. Anglers in the area have seen squids up to 60 pounds and 4 feet long since the first were caught on the afternoon of Thursday, January 27.
Robert Woodbury, manager at Newport Landing Sportfishing, said anglers who signed up to fish on one of the company's evening excursions had caught about 400 squid since Friday night.
